We are a local, woman owned pet care
service providing in-home pet sitting and dog walking to our
community for the past 10 years. We care for dogs, cats, exotics and
pocket pets. Being licensed, insured and bonded, with a staff of
7-10 thoroughly vetted employees that service between 125-200 active
clients. Providing our staff with a rigorous training program, that
continues through their tenure, enables us to provide comprehensive
care to each of our clients. We employee a redundancy of GPS
technology allowing for transparent service and safety for your
home, pets and our staff. With the perfect blend of knowledge,
compassion and technology; we are taking the lead!
Christy Castro, a NOVA native, founded The Unleashed Pet
in 2012 to fill the need for transparent, professional in-home pet
care with accountability. With SPOTCheck, our proprietary phone app,
in hand she spent the next years gaining perspective as the care
provider rather than the care receiver! This perspective was
essential when building oversight and redundant transparency
systems. By successfully filling the need, The Unleashed Pet
flourished and continues to flourish today. We are, Taking the Lead!
We are taking the lead with our uncompromising
standards, expertise and use of technology.
Our walkers receive gold standard training, including fear free handling and positive reinforcement. We utilize doorway management and other safety best practices while your pet is in our charge. We will give them a head to tail once over and check the main floor of your home to ensure nothing is out of place.
We have GPS redundancy providing 3 verification methods; for the safety of your home, pet, our staff as well as transparency of service.
