The Unleashed Pet
After spending years caring for friend's, family's and acquaintance's pets it was decided to put learned skills to work for and formed The Unleashed Pet, LLC. Brushing up our knowledge by taking a Red Cross class and obtaining certification in CPR and animal first aid. Becoming members of National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS). Unleashed then became licensed, insured and bonded. The website was created and other marketing materials. Then it was time to hit the road to get the name out there! We can't wait to see how we grow by providing our community the ultimate in pet care!
About Christy, the Owner/Operator:
My earliest memory of having a pet was pre-elementary school. We had a Terrier mix named Muffin. After this it was a poodle named Precious! During this time I remember fostering a pug named Twinkle Toes, she was a firecracker! We also had fresh water fish throughout my childhood. Toss in a couple of love birds, Romeo & Juliet, to boot. I guess I got my love of animals from my mother. As an older child I had a box turtle and a white flop eared rabbit named Puff. After this I fell in love with hamsters. I loved naming these little critters that came in Chinese take out boxes! Mine had names like Teriyaki and Sukiyaki. One I named vicious because he would growl anytime someone walked by his cage. My daughter's love of hermit crabs threw a few of those in the mix as well. All the while I have always had a dog! My first was from the local shelter. We saved her on the last day she had there and thus named her Charity. A Bichon Frise that was apt to run through any open door during her younger days which might have explained why the shelter had had her more than once prior to us taking her home. We then fell in love with a party mix Cocker Spaniel while at the shelter looking for my sister's runaway dog. Lucy, the cocker brought us years of quirky behavior and lots of laughs. Currently I have a small fresh water tank, 2 cats, and another Cocker Spaniel. Blade, Simba and Boston make life interesting and full of love!
